




Driven Element: The active component directly connected to the feed line (usually a half-wave dipole or folded dipole). It converts electrical signals into electromagnetic waves during transmission and vice versa during reception.
Reflector: Positioned behind the driven element, this passive element is slightly longer than the resonant half-wavelength. It acts inductively to reflect backward-traveling waves forward, enhancing the antenna's directivity and front-to-back ratio.
Directors: Placed in front of the driven element, these passive elements are progressively shorter than the driven element. They act capacitively to guide and focus the electromagnetic wavefront forward through constructive interference, significantly increasing the antenna's overall gain.
High Directionality & Gain: By focusing energy into a narrow beamwidth, Yagi antennas achieve higher gain compared to omnidirectional antennas, making them ideal for point-to-point long-distance communication.
